Tai Chi Quan, 太极拳 (Tài Jí Quán), is a classical internal Kung Fu style that originated as a martial art and later revealed its deeper role in cultivating 气 (Qì) and calming the mind through slow, soft, and continuous movement.
At Tianmeng, Tai Chi Quan is taught both as a traditional martial discipline and as a wellness practice, guiding students to develop relaxed strength, balanced structure, and steady awareness through mindful training.
以柔化刚,动中求静。
Use softness to transform strength; find stillness within movement.
There are five major styles of Tai Chi Quan, 太极拳 (Tài Jí Quán), each named after the family through which it was developed. Among them, 陈式 (Chén Shì · Chen Style) and 杨式 (Yáng Shì · Yang Style) are the most widely practiced in China. Yang Style evolved from Chen Style, gradually simplifying its movements while preserving the essential internal principles.
For the Tai Chi Quan practitioner, true skill requires time. Compared to other Kung Fu styles, progress unfolds more slowly and demands patience, calm attention, and steady commitment. Training invites the practitioner to settle the mind, soften the body, and move in harmony with nature, allowing refinement to arise naturally through sustained practice.
心静则拳活,久练方见真。
When the mind is calm, the form becomes alive; only with time does true skill appear.
We recommend the students who plan to stay within two months to learn Yang style Taichi Quan. Yang Style is relative easier for beginner to practice.
