On 28 September 2015, the Symposium on Sustainable Development of the Aging Industry and the International Forum on Aging Industries of the World was held at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. The Organizing Committee of the 2015 UN Summit on Aging for Sustainable Development issued a plaque “Homeland of Longevity for the World” for Fei County. Fei County became one of the first two counties within China to have been awarded the title of “World Home of Longevity” by the United Nations.
Fei County has a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons, sunshine, and abundant rainfall. Temperatures in the region range from -13OC in winter to approximately 35 OC in summer.
Fei County is rich in water resources, with 103 rivers with excellent water quality. The water is rich in minerals beneficial to human health including strontium, molybdenum, potassium, boron, and other trace elements and tastes sweet. Selenium has anti-aging and anti-cancer effects; zinc helps maintain cell membrane stability and improve immune function; boron regulates calcium levels, vitamin D, amino acids and other nutrient metabolism. This combination of trace elements in the soil support human health and have anti-aging properties which increase longevity.
Fei County has a beautiful natural environment, coupled with a socially safe and secure environment, stable income, happy life, people in good health and long life expectancy. By the end of 2016, Fei County had 28,635 seniors aged over 80, 4713 seniors aged over 90, and 536 seniors aged over 100.
As the largest mountain range in Fei County, Tianmeng Mountain is a part of Yimeng Mountain Area of 1500 square kilometers. It integrates landscapes of mountains, forests and waterfalls. The forest coverage rate reaches 99% with the highest negative oxygen ion content reaching 2.8 million / Cm3. Tianmeng is therefore hailed as a “natural oxygen bar”, or “ultra-clean area.”
Tianmeng Mountain has different scenery all year round. In the spring, there are layers of greenery; the forests and flowers bloom during summer. The waterfalls are flowing and the clouds are misty in autumn, the mountains are clear and the red leaves are reflected; in winter the landscape is silver in the snow, and the Jade Temple is capped with snow. Tianmeng Mountain is rich in botany with more than 1,000 kinds of plants and is rich in chestnuts, walnuts, apples, peaches, pears, grapes, and other fruits. Hundreds of Chinese herbal medicines are produced from plants such as Danshen, Ganoderma lucidum, Polygonum, and other precious herbs.
Rooted in Chinese traditional culture, Taoism and Buddhism played very important roles in the development of Chinese Kungfu. A nice and peaceful environment is helpful for mind focus and chi cultivation, which is the reason why kung fu masters live in the mountains in ancient times and why our school is located here. It is the right place for people who would like to be dedicated to their Kung Fu training. In such a beautiful environment, get more inspiration from nature and your mind will be relaxed and calm.
